A Dutch/Indonesian fusion restaurant in Tomar, we pride ourselves on quality food with fresh ingredients, at great prices and excellent personal service.
We offer a selection of Dutch and Indonesian snacks served all day - such as frites and frikandel speciaal, kroket, bitterbal, pisang goreng, etc.
We specialize in “Rijsttafel” (meaning “rice table”), which was created in the former Dutch Indies. It consists of a number of traditional Indonesian side dishes, served in small portions and accompanied by rice served in several different ways. The idea is to experience many different flavours, textures and types of food in one meal. Most dishes are served with a spicy peanut sauce and our kitchen revolves around the use of a combination of interesting and exotic herbs and spices such as kefir lime leaves, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, cardamom, garlic, shallots, chillies, turmeric, ginger, bay leaves, lemongrass and many others. Although our food can be considered “spicy” because of this, the overall effect is simply tasty flavour and not real heat. The dishes that are hot, like our Sambal beans, have been marked on the menu - for those who want extra heat, or for those who don’t!
Our menu caters for a broad range of dietary requirements, offering a number of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes.
Our wine list includes wines from all regions in Portugal and we have beers on tap & imported beers such as Leffe blond and Stella Artois. All beers on offer are classified vegan.
We are open from 12h00 to 22h00 (kitchen closes at 21h30), Wednesday to Saturday. On Sundays we currently (winter) only serve lunch. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Our full menu is available on our Facebook page and bookings can be made via Facebook, or by email and phone.
We also offer takeaways - either directly, for pick up, or via Glovo, for delivery.
